There is something about it that is not really satisfying. I found it to be a little too licorice... and somewhat artificial flavor of red berries and watermelon which made no sense... second bottle, I remember the first as a bit of a better experience.

Not quite as good as the Tommasi Amarone which I also had tonight. This was more cherry and boysenberry. Medium length finish. Fairly balanced wine.

No where near the same level as 2009 and 2010. Tried to decant over different periods of time, but didn't live up to our (high) expectations.
