Grenache tasting (Five Way Cellars, Paddington) : Served blind Slightly savoury red berry, baking spices, a little savoury funky underpin. Softly juicy, slight alcohol warmth, talc textured tannins are grippy and drying, more savoury on the palate, clean, interesting. As the options progressed the appellations where Lirac, CndP and Gigondas so I plumped for the latter. …

WOTN. Silky palate with just fantastic fine tannins. Creamy strawberry and red cherry flavours, plum, a hint of darker fruits, herbs, and spice. Good length but it’s the delicious array of flavours and the satin-like palate that really sets this apart.
