Red berries (raspberry, strawberry) and currant, plum, some rosemary/garrigue, just a hint of cedar. M acid, M body. This is doing well for such a cheap wine at 5 years old, I’ve had it about once a year since release and it’s shown some development. Great qpr and a great casual burger wine; we had it with Impossible burgers topped with alpine style cheese and a sweet onion confit spiced with rosemary and mustard…great pairing. 6.2/10

Dry, medium-bodied red wine with a screw cap, opening to a nose of cherries, currant, blackberries, and black pepper. Deep burgundy tending toward opaque at center and ruby at the edges. Extraordinary balance of tannins and sweetness with some residual sugar. Presents itself as non-alcohol forward, with smoothly pleasant floral notes developing. D+0h: no deposit in the filter nor in the bottle, smells of raspberry D+4,5h: dark as ink, smells of blackberry and violets, medium body, not that dry, has a dash of residual sugar, in the mouth blackberry and violets, in the aftertaste blackberry, violets and acidity, good length (30 sec), quite a good red wine for the price, so good price-quality-ratio.

Nochmal nachprobiert: Der letzten Notiz füge ich hinzu, dass durchaus Tiefe in der Frucht und in der Würze vorhanden ist. Außerdem wirkt der Wein frisch. Freunde mich so langsam damit an, auch wenn mir immer noch der tiefere Schliff fehlt. Für 9€ allemal guter Alltags-Stoff!

Driven by fruity granache character, with strawberry and blackberry and plum. Juicy but tart, surprisingly fresh. Improves slightly with air, but even then only hints of floral and sweet earthy notes. M- tannin, bordering on soft, light to M- body, but M acid. Hardly a profound or complex wine but you can’t find much better (or more versatile; this should be very flexible with food) for $12. Medium, almost pale, ruby colour. Medium nose with red plum, ripe strawberry and red cherry. Taste of strawberry, red cherry and red plum. Medium long and dry finish. Medium (+) acidity and medium (-) tannins. Medium body with medium flavour. A good Côtes du Rhône. Goes well with poultry or pork.

Habe Erdbeere, etwas Pflaume, etwas Rumtopf, ein paar Gewürze in der Nase. Am Gaumen dann pfeffrig, mit anständiger Säure, viel weichem Tannin. Etwas Fleisch. Durchaus mit Länge, rockt mich allerdings null.

The wine when poured has a matt ruby red color to it with quick legs along with a secondary set shortly after. This wine has a complex deep wood, musty, peaty smell with hints of fruit, cranberry. The body is light to medium with a nice round sticky texture with a short finish. A very decent Cote du Rhone for the price that I would definitely purchase again in future.

Served with pasta and roast cauliflower, garlic, and walnuts. Medium purple, consistent to the rim. Jane got bread yeast at initial sniff, then plum and raisin. Nice acid, dry but not puckerable - sit back and drink up. Medium/short length.

Red and black Raspberry, black cherry, plum skin. Slightly rustic, but nice grippy tannin. 13.5 percent but can feel the alcohol. A little burning on the finish. The burn makes this a 87-88 but I appreciate the elegant fruit.

Very enjoyable Cotes du Rhone. Served slightly chilled on a warm Florida afternoon. Dark color and good depth on the palate. This was purchased for $6.99 at Costco and is an amazing value. For a casual, well made red, this is hard to beat.
