Label on this bottle is creative and fun. Unfortunately it was served beside a much better Syrah. Probably as good as it is going to get and we will drink the remaining bottles soon.

My 750s are just about perfect now and I don't think they will last much longer

Nez fruit noir, chocolat. Belle concentration et ampleur. moyennement corsé. Beaux tanins. Bonne longueur.

Tastes like I would expect from a syrah, but slight burn suggesting a higher alcohol than I prefer. Ripe dark fruit, found a bit more acidic than I like so wouldn't be a syrah I would pick . However mom liked it. "Nice, smooth and fruit forward- didn't notice the alcohol at all" . Everyone has a different pallette.

Some things are better in their youth…this wine is not. The alcohol is excessively high (15.4 declared) & out of balance with the fruit. The nose is all wood…will it come together in time? I have research to do…but I am not hopeful. Crowd pleaser it was, though. Go figure… (BTW – I hate these labels)

This was an experiment. I know I prefer this wine in the first 4 years from the vintage. This confirms what I already knew...the LFNG Syrah is much more impressive if drank young to better enjoy the exuberant primary aromas (raspberries, violet and white pepper). The 2010 is not bad, just not as exciting at this stage. Quickly evolving towards tertiary aromas. Enjoy now...or continue the experiment:)

Surprise ruining of wine plan by Vandiner. PnP decant half the bottle for 30 mins. Oak a little more forward than with the 2011. More notes and a score after tasting rest tomorrow. Saturated dark purple almost to the clear rim. Smoky aroma of plum incense anise chocolate cherry and espresso. Medium weight with plush tannins. Fresh black fruits and fruit compote but not cloying notes of tobacco espresso anise dark chocolate. Dark chocolate covered cherry and vanilla on the …

Terrific BC syrah. Drank after an Aussie and a Cote Rotie, and it compared quite well. Spice and berry, lingering finish.

This wine is absolutely amazing! Beautiful ripe red berries, vanilla, kirsch, raspberry syrup, blueberry pie, and did I mention the delicious vanilla! Drinking incredibly now and will only improve with age as that yummy fruit evolves into something even more complex. If you can get your hands on this sold-out award winning wine I'd highly recommend it.

Très bien! Fait pas nouveau monde (shiraz style)... mais pas text book syrah non plus... il a beau être le cépage dominant, la syrah ne m'a pas sauté aux yeux... Très jeune naturellement...

Another great effort from LS. Full on nose right out of the bottle, good fruit and a hint of barnyard that dominates on day two. Long finish with fine lingering pepper.
