This bottle better than recent ones. No obvious cork taint or mustiness. Good Maury character and quite a pleasant one for sipping. Nothing profound though. **1/2

Good chocolate wine and went well with a chocolate and hazelnut tart with caaradamon icecream. This one had far fewer dirty notes - just a hint of the aggregate cork mustiness on the finish. **

Caroline's bash (Windsor) : Typical Maury, but it still seems a little muted/dirty. i wonder if the ghastly, cheap compound cork is at fault here? Still, a reasonable example. **1/2

Slightly muted nose, good red fruit palate and finish; something though that I can't quite put my finger on, but it's a little ungracious. Okay but no more - last bottle seemed beter. **

Nasty compound cork. Typical porty and chocolatey. Very nice with choc pudding and strawberries poached in redwine and balsalmic. ***

Chocolately, hints of raisin. Typical and good. Matched with chocolate fondant with fresh berries and white chocolate and chilie ice cream. It survived and indeed matched well.
