I made the mistake of drinking it with pasta in a red sauce, against which it did not stand up at all. Afterwards, drinking it on it’s own, my opinion improved a bit, but it still didn’t have the the fruit notes I expected even in a light red. In fairness this is a 2006 and probably past it’s prime. I have another bottle with a more recent vintage and look forward to comparing.

Cork was clean, smell was fruit forward on the pour. Had hope. Very light, too late. Missed the boat. On the nose, plum, cherry, some strawberry and red licorice. Taste, very light, definetly not bad, but not much there.

Nothing special but nothing bad either... not really that memorable but passable with weeknight speghetti and meatballs.

Hot and slightly spicy nose with hints of overripe cherries. The taste was that of alcohol with some raspberries thrown in for good measure. There were minor cherry and vanilla hints. Better than I thought it would be.

I found this to be a fuller Beaujolais, and was impressed by how complete the palate was, there is nice body on this one, strait-forward strawberry nose, easy drinking, focused on the mineral and stony finish, the fruit is alive and jubilant

always a pleasant and predictable, albeit boring wine.

Very simple and light grape and cherry flavors. Not a bad wine, just very basic. Given the price, it was good, we had it with grilled hamburgers and it held up well. (Just love being able to grill year round here in San Antonio!)

Typical Beaujolais with a very fruity aspect almost like a cherry jam, there was also a floral aspect on the nose. On the palate there was the fruity cherry on the front palate and I got a hint of green peppers on the mid palate. This wine pairs well with just about any food or is fine by itself. Light bodied, light tannins and perfect acidity and is an easy drinking wine. This is an awesome QPR at under $10 …

OK, Gamay is not one of my favorite wine grapes. My wife inadvertently brought this home instead of the Jadot Pinot Noir. That said, I found this wine to be quite enjoyable everyday wine. Seems like a good value.

een vlakke tot onbestaande neus wordt verassend gevolgd door een mooie ronde en behoorlijk rijke mond met veel fruit zonder dat het frivool wordt , goede kwaliteit voor de prijs (1800inr, graze)

This wine seems to be a bit underrrated. With nice fruity notes on the nose, a smooth rounded light fruit forward flavor, it was a pretty decent wine for around $10. I'd try this again

Burgundy (Farpointe Cellar) : The nose had cherry, chocolate, and floral notes. The palate was a bit tannic, and had cherry, and floral notes.

Still great QPR. Deep reddish brown. Bursting with fruit on the nose and palate -- dominated by dried and sour cherries plus some hints of spice and minerals.

Simple, but nice light, smooth red. Very enjoyable. Not deep or complex in flavors by any means, still a good food wine, especially as a split for a weeknight bottle.

Garnet color. Aromas of cherries and earth. Palate starts with tart cherries, red berries followed with loamy earth and smokiness. Good finish. Light to medium weight. With more time in the glass, actually get a pink grapefruit component. Kept on changing. What a great $10 wine! Went great with pesto pasta with mushrooms.

Terrific little wine showing great value at $12. Normally, I wouldn't even bother, but I grabbed a few in this price range and this one stood out. Nice nose of rasberry and flower, a little Earthy. The taste was much longer than I expected and improved after being open for a while. Recommended!

I smell olives, grapes, and wood kindling. I can feel the alcohol content as well when I sniff though it's not overbearing. Texture is somewhat smooth, a little chewy. Taste is very dry, touch of bitterness, not necessarily non-descript but not a whole lot to comment on. This is OK. Would be better with food.

This wine is consistently "underrated" by the drinking public, based on our criteria. You cannot overlook the sub $9 price when rating this wine. If this wine was $20 or more, it would be around the mid-80s. But at below $9, it is really a bargain. Bursting with cherries and some other red fruit. Not terribly complex, but pairs well with just about everything or is perfect by itself.

Fruity, black cherry, spicy smell. Smooth and very fruity, tastes of plum and cherry. Not too dry. Quick finish. Veyr easy drinking. Medium body. Nice to drink on its own because it is slightly sweet and spicy.

tasted blind. light ruby colored. the nose was quite weak, with some cherries and gum. this actually has some solid tannic structure, medium acidity, some cherry, rasberry and toast notes. medium finish. offers a bit more than most beaujolais-villages at this price point.

Rose red, primary nose of strawberry and raspberry red fruits, light bodied with pure berry fruit, a well made easy drinking gamay, which could easily be mistaken for a Bourgogne from a ripe, low acid vintage, solid QPR and I don't even like beaujolais

Nice red wine, smooth to drink. Did not drink this with a food, just by itself. Nice fruit on the smell, some leather components, and some burnt caramel. Nice red fruits to the taste, with soft tannins, and some light acidity.
