Have owned since release and cellared well. All the baby fat and big fruit have dissolved into a very nice mature wine with a lot of complexity. Not everybody's cup of tea for sure. A more modern blend of Priorat varietals with evident local characteristics. Needs 30 min in a decanter. Ready now.

Janúarsmakk Eðalklúbbsins 2025 (Marbakkabraut 12) : Þetta er eitt ónýtasta vín sem ég hef smakkað. Vínið var mjög skýjað. Gruggugur litur. Í nefi var mjög mikil oxunarlykt. Rancí tónar alveg. Sama var uppi á teningnum í bragðinu. Gersamlega ónýtt vín. Tappinn leit vel út en það var hægt að kreista hann saman mjög auðveldlega.

Yes. In limited experience this can be hit or miss based on vintage; this is hit. Priorat herbs dialed up, tannins up, llicorella there. Outstanding value. Black fruits, rosemary, licorice, black olives (forgot this has syrah). Bravo. A close, just a little more rough, approximation of wines 3x or more the price.

Corked, but still drinkable. What a shame because it had all the other characteristics of being an excellent wine.

Monthly tasting club "The Tasting Club": Priorat (@ My place) : Red and dark berries as well as sweet spices in the bouquet. On the palate juicy dark berries, some graphite, pleasant oak, good and fresh acidity and a bit grainy tannin which is a bit drying.

Wanted to love this ... thin, funk that needs to blow off, sour cherry and bitterness, short finish, disappointing. Sorry, love the bigger red blends from the region with big fruit and minerality and this is not that. Will try again tomorrow. DAY TWO -- much better. Violets and sour cherry/blackberries, minerals from the slate, fuller mouthfeel and finish. A lighter Priorat than others but decent. Upping rating from 86 to 89.

Not as much depth as some of the higher priced Priorats, but excellent for the price. Still young, should evolve more with additional time.

This is drinking nicely now with a long decant, but really deserves a few more years in the cellar minimum Meaty and leathery aromas, brooding dark fruits, black plums, and wet clay and earth The palate has ripe black raspberry and polished medium tannins Excellent length 91-92

Unconventional blend, but otherwise straight down the fairway Priorat. Licorella twang, spice dialed up a bit — cinnamon, cloves, peppercorn, rosemary. Maybe due to high % of Syrah? A clear and satisfying sense of place without being a caricature of the style. Will drink again.

Aromas of plum, dark cherry, strawberry candy, wild blueberry, blood, petrichor, cinnamon, graphite, thyme, white and purple flowers... this is ripe and flamboyant on the nose, but there is great lift and freshness to it. Complex and velvety on the palate, with layers of ripe fruit, a strong acid line cutting through its richness and supple tannins. Long and composed, with beautiful ripe fruit and mineral nuances lingering. This is top notch. Priorat this good is usually two or three …

Sara Perez wines with Michel Jamais (At six, Brunkebergstorg) : I felt like that person who prefers the cheapest chocolates in favor of the expensive single estate dark cocoa. This was by far the cheapest wine of the flight except the rosa, but I liked it very much as it was clearly ready to go now, the perfume was less intense and complex but the palate had an inky cabernet style to it leading in to a spicy, soft, garnacha …

Forkaupasmakk frá Spáni #1 (Marbakkabraut 12) : Ungur litur. Meðaldökkur. Frekar lokað í ilmi. Brennd eik samt. Síðan þegar smakkað á víninu. Súr eins og í súrdeigi. Mjög súrt. Tannískur súrhvalur. Þetta er skemmt! Tappinn á víninu var blautur næstum hálfa leið í gegn! Og þetta er 2016. Ég kaupi ekki meira frá þessu fyrirtæki fyrr en þau hafa lagað tappamálin hjá sér.

Possibly past it. Ever so slightly vinegary, but it exudes delicious aromas of clove and violets - much more like a Burgundy than a Bordeaux! Thin, but silky and seductive. Remarkable. Possibly not to everybody's taste.

Plum in colour - just a hint of cloudiness; berries and light floral notes on the nose with some forest and eucalyptus; we taste strawberries, cocoa and toast; the wine is light but nicely balanced with a fairly long finish. We love it and have two more bottles in the cellar to pull out in 2014 and 2015.

Day One. Opened for an hour. Not decanted. Very dark, almost black color! with purple ring for a nice color contrast. You have to be patient with this one, it may take some time. A little bit one dimensional to start, with dark fruit, lots of it. Seems you can bite that flavour. It has medium body and lenght. Tannins are present and enjoyable. Dark, sweet fruit, dark coffee, a hint of stable aroma's (subsiding after some breathing), exotic spices and some kirsch. Not as hot and sweet as the Vall Llach Embruix, more restrained, but maybe also a bit less stuffing, a bit cheaper even, so probably an even better qpr, as far as Priorat's go.
