Pierre Morey Bourgogne-Aligoté

Buon aligoté ad un prezzo conveniente. Al naso floreale e minerale. Poi in bocca agrumi e frutta fresca. Dopo un po’ nel bicchiere cambia, emergono note di mela gialla e di frutta tropicale, al palato diventa più avvolgente.

Uncomplicated but true to type, crisp acidity and lovely tension, salty minerality, tart citrus and orchard fruit, energetic and with good volume, good intensity and length. Good QPR (Euro 15 at Alain Hess in Beaune).

Upgraded from 88 to 89 since my last note in November 2022. At €12 this is really QPR that's hard to beat! The nose has turned a lot less reductive and is very open and inviting with a wonderful freshness. Apple, citrus fruits, unripe tropicals and some sea breeze. Palate still had that lovely weight, but it's the acidity and tension that's the focus of the wine - it's just so fresh and lively and would go perfectly with seafood. …

Pale gold color Coravin’d a bit to pair with something light & spicy lol The nose was very light to begin with but develops quickly with swirling, Granny Smith - unripe opal apples, some very airy magnolia coming thru On the palate, unripe yellow nectarines High acidity for sure but very much makes sense and integrated Look forward to revisit because by the end of the small pour it already smelled much more intense

It took me some time to decide if I like it or not, not an easy wine to swallow, very high acidity, no sweetness at all. But eventually, I enjoyed it, so all is good👏 Nice mostly clear bright light yellow color, vague shades of gold 👏 High acidity, medium body, crispy, mineral, very intensive. Nicely aromatic, citrus, green tree fruits, barrels 👏 Complex, rich, not an easy drink on the palate: lemon, lime, lemon yeast, green apple, pear, apricot, …

Consumed in a big social setting so no formal notes but delicious and really really good value

Popped and poured. Rich aroma of apricots and minerals. Clean, tart flavors of lemon, stone. Full mineral finish. Lively, firm backbone, still a little closed. Solid value, possible future potential.

nose has a mix of green notes with citrus touch. asparagus, unripe apples. Palate is fresh with marked acidity, makes you salivate. Nice saline and mineral touch.

At €12 this is just great Aligoté. On the nose it's a bit reductive and there's this weight even to the nose. Yellow apple, a lot of greenish but hard to pinpoint from what... Bell-pepper, grass, asparagus, herbs? It's a great touch. Good citrus, some vanilla and slight unripe tropical fruits. Palate also had this great weight to it and at the same time a great tension and acidity! Green citrus fruits, slightly unripe tropicals and again this very green …

Trinquée de Meursault - Grands Jours de Bourgogne (Tonnellerie Damy - Meursault) : Walk around tasting. Bright and tense with enough weight. Good young.
