Definitely too early to consume this wine. If so, I would decant for at least 12 hours. Superb aromatics of black cherry, blackberry, licorice and gravelly minerality. The palate was a bit disappointing as the flavors did not evolve to their full capacity. Full-bodied but overly acidic with tight tannins.

It is a bit thin compared to prior vintages I’ve had. My friends greatly preferred the ‘16 Few and Far Between I also served.

Nicliani Portfolio tasting (Museum of Cycladic Art, Athens) : Fragrant, sweet spice, cinnamon, nutmeg, red ripe cherry notes, smooth palate, sweet spice notes, tight tannin, same flavour profile, earthy, spicer mix as it warms up. Truly dense wine, thick fruit core with some dried fruit emerging in the long finsish. An elegant spice
