Fresh bright cherry, a little mushroom as well, delicious and still going strong.

This got better as the night wore on. This was my first '08 so I am very incouraged about the rest of them that I have.

Very enjoyable to drink, but I doubt I'll remember it.

Astringent smell, earthy flavors with some fruit and green flavors present. I have no idea how it was made, but there seems to be a mix of over and under-ripe grapes in this bottle. Not much balance here, but drinkable.

Attractive nose of spice and cola. This was tasty, but pretty much unmemorable. Another so-so PN from Oregon in the $20 range. Drink now. I don't think this has the stuffing to go another 2 years.

So weird, 2 bottles of this and both were the same. The nose was so nasty like rotten trash or dirty dish water but on the palate it was a really nice little $15 pinot.

Not bad though lacking in complexity. OK QPR

Good but a little thin and a little too much alcohol.

Decanted immediately before dinner Slightly less acidic than the A to Z last night. Both wines indicate the quality of the vintage, but neither shows potential complexity.

Cant say ive had a bad 2008 Oregon PN, 2007 on the other hand is a different story. I would say this is a classic Oregon PN with notes of red fruit but has a touch of earth and spiciness that makes it slightly different from most. Overall I would say this is a solidwine, but is missing the finish that would separate it from the pack. For $15 at Costco, Im not complaining.

Good nose of dark smells: cherry, wood, and some pepper. Sour cherry and a little spice with a medium finish. Would benefit from some decanting...

More cherry fruit than I expected, with plenty of acid. It paled in comparison to the much pricier pinots we drank tonight, seeming a little thin and sour, but I think we would have liked it a lot if we had started with it. A little bit of that Oregon earthiness going on.

Slightly smoky, with lots of berry, and an overall very enjoyable wine. The finish lingers and it is fairly complex, especially for the price.

Nose of pine smoke, cherries and berries, and roses; some acidity, juicy cherry and berry flavors, a bit light as noted in previous notes, and modest tannins; decent fruity finish. A nice pop and pour, and not bad for the price.

Clearly way too young yet; decided to crack this open since it was cheap and a twist-off. Lots of red cherry and some other promising stone fruit aromas at first; still too young to render an accurate verdict.

Poor notes - good with food and good qpr for the price.

Crown Liquor store tasting. Very soft wine, very light tannins. Easy to pop and pour for an afternoon delight. An OK value at $18. Ray and Elena enjoyed.

Popped and poured. Showed a slightly green aroma that dissipated after an hour or so. Remained muted and well, boring through the evening - just an average wine. It slightly improved on the following evening, opening up a bit and showed a slight bit of some deeper, richer dark fruit aromas. Not bad just nothing expressive, distinct or special here.

E&R's Pinot Noir-egon Weekend; 4/24/2010-4/25/2010 (Portland, OR) : Light nose, but really juicy with red fruits and candied berries. Very soft and pleasing palate, great drinkability, almost like red berry juice. Not much structure, but I could put a straw in this and drink it on the patio and not notice the bottle just disappear.
