For my taste, drinking at peak. Nose has sweet tobacco, leather, still some dark fruit and a little oak vanilla. Palate was all nicely integrated, smooth, long and flavorful. Paired with prime NY Steaks off the grill. Nicely paired. Would buy again.

Popped and poured with NY strips. A bit tight at first but opened up quite nicely over the next hour with some vigorous swirling. Well balanced with rich notes of black cherry cola, cassis and pipe tobacco. Tannins grippy but well rounded.

Decanted and poured. Wow, full body and very smooth. This is a big wine - yum!

Much better than expected. Soft red fruit and a nice finish.

What a coincidence, as soon as I settled down with this, the TV started a special on the making of the new Spielberg movie "War Horse". Goodness, what a load of sentimental horse manure. This movie is going to suck. And I am sure that by the end of it the horse would be dead, accompanied by the obligatory nauseating John Williams crescendo of violins. You will need to chain me to a chair and put toothpicks in my eyes …

Very good. Very dark red, dark red fruit and licorice galore. Long and layered finish. Fully resolved and ready to go, though it did hang on for a good day 2 showing.

Don't know if it was me or the wine. Had it over two nights with about a glass left for tonight. While it's not bad, I just don't see it giving me that Wow that I would hope for. It was just a nice mellow blend. The nose was nice on the first night but I didn't get much on day 2. It did seem to become much drier on day 2 as well which may or may not explain …

Loved this bottle. Used our little prattle aerator/decanter before it went into the glass. Very smooth and Yamuna subdued. Yummy

Wow, really enjoyed this WA blend. Opened for an hour before drinking. Nice nose of spice box, red meat and dark cherries. Palate was complex blend of dark fruits, cinammon, dusty minerals and pepper. Then it shut down a little. Then I decanted it for an hour and the palate was much more fruit forward. More of a fruit bomb, but an enjoyable one with lots of depth.

needed air, for sure, but a great wine. Light on the tanins, nice berry like flavor. Smooth finish, great dinner wine.

This has a beautiful bouquet of strawberries and cream. Nice mouthfeel to the wine and slight tannins on the back end. No sign of alcohol. This wine still needs more time, but very well made and really comes together with air!

This was a wonderful accompaniment to a fork-tender slow-cooker pork dish; nice, lightly fragrant nose; elegant and medium bodied, tasted of tangy berry; a nice but not overly long finish; overall, a very enjoyable wine.

Tasted at the Esquin wine tasting. Open for about 30-min before tasting. Smoke and oak. Needs food and / or bottle age.
