Simply outstanding and full of Pomerol Terroir! It is not a modernist style; but still presenting red to dark fruits (rasberry, blue and black berry). Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow";Bordeaux 2009 vs 2010 (By JS) : Still a slightly purple hue. In the bouquet still a bit locked but there are red and dark berries, sweet spices and sweet licorice. On the palate juicy dark berries, bell pepper and cherries, good and mild fresh acidity and tannin, a touch of sweetness and licorice. Beautiful wine, but not extremely concentrated.

Very enjoyable Bordeaux. Nose and notes of ripe red fruits, tobacco, graphite, cedar, forest and leather. Not overly fruity or tannic. Very balanced and integrated. Not overly bold and may lack punch with a richly flavored meal. Overall a lovely wine.

Despite what the technical sheet says on their website, it is 70% Merlot and 30% Cab Franc. Decanted 2 hours before consumption and highly recommended. Very funky - truffle, forest floor and a slight tannin dominant, it settled down and opened up with yummy mocha, stewed or sour cherries, fine tannin, very Merlot. Very nice mature Pomerol close to, if not at peak. Decanted for 2 hours and back into cleaned bottle. Nose and notes of ripe red fruits, tobacco, graphite, mushroom, leather and forest floor. Medium bodied, with fresh acidity and tannins showing still, this is what I hope for in aged Bordeaux. Perfect with the ribeye. Time left.

All so true, what I read in the earlier TN’s. This is still on the young side. Dark purple in the glass with a very slight brownish edge. A great nose. Good fruit on the palate. The finish is still a bit sharp and dry/tannic. This can probably improve a bit in the coming years.

I don't detect much sign of evolution compared with my memory and TN of almost exactly three years ago but I was less overwhelmed. This may be a function of pairing (guinea fowl in a cream sauce sprinkled with whisky) but I felt the balance was more tilted towards acidity right through the bottle than previously. Otherwise the rest of my description still applies. Very Good.

Nice and easy drinking, very representative 20 year old right bank. Nothing super complex or impressive here, but nothing out of place. I loved 1998 on the right bank, so I expected a bit more fruit. This was tasting just slightly past prime, mostly leather and olive and earth. I would drink up.

I normally don’t touch my Bdx 09 yet, but on basis of WCI and below CT notes i tried the 09 Beauregard. A positive surprise. Dark, smooth, with silky tannins. Very much primary fruit driven. A long finish. Difficult to predict, if mote time will add complexity, or will start to fade away fruit.

accessible open nose. Rich and plummy red fruit. extract is here for sure make no mistake. Palette is smooth, powerful yet elegant with tons of red deep plummy fruit, hints of mint, mocca, cherry liquer and a balanced acidity. Oak is integrated and not as pronunced which I like. Its a chewy year - but at the right serving temperature its sazzy and deeply attractive. Well done! Why wait?!

Similar flavors as noted in 10/16. This time I decanted and the wine reached its stride after about 30 minutes of aeration. Like the previous notes, this wine has morphed since first released: the exuberant fruit has settled down and was replaced with a rich, but more structured wine. Quite nice to drink right now.
