Decanted for one hour which allowed the wine to open and integrate. The air brought out the blackberry and black cherry notes along with a streak of cranberry. There was also lots of spice and some earth on the medium plus bodied palate. The acidity was juicy and balancing, and any tannins were integrated. Will probably continue to cellar for some time.

This was a banger after an hour and a half from pouring a big glass before drinking but not decanted. Dark black and blue fruits still exude power on the nose and primary taste. Full-bodied, palate staining texture and nose with ample tannins and mouth-coating richness balances a long finish of toasty oak, cassis and floral, spice and earthy hints.

Pnp, first impressions is that this wine is in a really good place. Lots of cherry cola notes and racy acidity. Not flabby or old but we can't imagine it getting much better? Our last bottle but if we had more I'd comfortably hold for another year or so.

Nose showing a bit of age, was a bit worried initially. Dark burgundy in color, almost opaque. Overall viscous in nature, not just the tears, but the entire body of the glass. Dark Cherry compote with initial cranberry tartness. Not at all heavy or extracted, yet dense in appearance, exhibiting a richness. Some subtle mineral notes below the surface. Opened to celebrate my daughter completing her master's degree. She had picked it out as her favorite a few years back when we visited Cirq/Chev...and it just as wonderful as we remembered: Beautifully balanced with red fruit with spice. Silky smooth. Wish I had a few more bottles.

Great nose, so deep, almost thick in glass. The profile is complex. This seems familiar, perhaps a single vineyard offering from other Kosta Browne or Dumol, and I've made this observation about Cirq wines before. There's a richness to this. Good solid cork, may 1/4" infiltration. Really fragrant upon opening. Loud pop so well sealed. So far tastes like a Kosta product. Good extract that age hasn't diminished. Fruity and a bit astringent, medium density. legs took close to a minute to develop. But tried again and they immediately appears and initial wave ran fast, and subsequent waves slowed down. Big beautiful CA pinot. as it opened it rounded out even more. lots of sweet cranberry but solid acidity to balance it - but its def on the big hedonistic side and not a lick of burgundy in this. but its very very enjoyable for what it is.
