Glass: Zalto Bordeaux Popped and poured, drunk over several days. Very modern Rioja. Elegant, fine, with good tension and pressure. Fine fruit, spices. Maybe a bit "made" and artificial. Nevertheless quite nice with potential for another decade. 90-91

Built for the long run. Powerful; still tannic indeed. Give it a few more years. I'm keeping my other 3 bottles till 2020-2027, maybe more. Otherwise, be prepared for a very long decant. 93 for now. Could potentially reach 95 when tannins resolve.

Very powerful, inky brooding wine. 2 hr decant and still too tannic and young. Needs another 3-5 years. Vacuum sealed half bottle for tomorrow. See if it breaks the 93. Great rioja

Very young and tannic on opening. After a few hours it opened up and started to display some of it's quality. Very dark, showing black fruits and a touch of herb. Shame I only had one bottle and won't see how it develops later.

Zeer donkerrood, wat lichtere rand. In de neus zwarte bes, bloemig, drop, getoast hout en gesteente. In de mond goed geconcentreerd zwart fruit, kirsch, elegante zuren en een klein zoetje. Zéér lange afdronk, iets hitte, mooie ronde tannines. Mooie, klassieke Rioja met een lange toekomst, 93+.
