Holdredge Pinot Noir Steiner-Drystack

Tough to say goodbye to the last bottle of this vintage and vineyard combo from Holdredge. Might be my wine of the year as it consistently over delivered at this price point. Great interplay of great fruit with an earthiness that is on point. I have grown to appreciate the expansive lineup of Holdredge Pinots, and this one has emerged as my favorite. Thanks to John and Carri for their gracious introduction to their great Pinots.

Consistent with prior notes, which is a very good thing! As previously stated, this could easily be a very satisfying house wine I could consume without regret for a very long time. I love the interplay with luscious fruit and earthy notes that is a perfect combination. I am down to my last bottle of this wonderful offering and vintage and will miss the joy each of these bottles has provided me. Can’t say enough good things about this wine …

Similar to prior notes. This could easily be my house Pinot. Great combination of fresh red fruit and underlying earthiness that combines to deliver a great drinking experience. Smooth and supple with great balance, weight and integration.

This is a consistent go to wine in my household. Great fruit underpinned by enough earthiness to make it a bit more complex and interesting. Fresh red fruit delivered on a smooth, seamless fashion. Savory earth notes balance the fruit attack nicely. If I have a house Pinot these days, this one is it. Great value as it over delivers for me time and time again.

The consistent deliciousness of this wine has earned my rating. Amazing fruit that is fresh and tasty. Some level of earthiness that gives it a nice unique complexity at this price point. Great synergy from a strong vintage. Lively red fruit on a medium frame. This is singing.

Back to optimum experience with the wine. Deep, dark berry and cherry notes with evident earthiness. Fruit is wonderful and palate coating, even at medium weight. I love the savory earth notes marrying with the fruit forward ripeness. Outstanding QPR for what is in this bottle. Could be a candidate for my “house wine” as it is a favorite go to at any time.

Back on par after a less than great experience with the last bottle of this. Excellent dark fruit with earthiness that couples to make a great combination at a wonderful QPR. No guilt or hesitancy in popping one of these open to enjoy. Very nice and truly enjoyable.

This was so different than the multiple other bottles of this I have enjoyed I am thinking something was off or flawed in this bottle. Very dark, but seeemed lifeless compared with the he great fruit and earthiness in prior bottles. Hope this is an anomaly.

93 + on the pop n pour and it was gone fast. Everyone really enjoyed this wine. It stacked up nicely in a 8 bottle line up and the QPR is fantastic as a club member. Only the 13 KB Kanzler and 16 wren hop CT were better. And not by lot. Curious how this well develope. Glad I have more. Many good years ahead for sure.

This continues to be my favorite Holdredge offering. The fruit is savory, earthy and delicious. Lovely red fruit that is rich and inviting. I could be very happy with this one as a house Pinot. I have enjoyed every bottle of this and am glad I secured more. Great value for the quality I find in the bottle. A delight from beginning to end.

I just love this Pinot. Savory earthiness combined with great red berries. Fantastic nose that leases to a palate with perfect weight, flavor and deliciousness. Great price point for a wonderful drinking experience. Possesses that sought after Pinot funk. A new producer for me and incredibly nice people.

This Pinot is the first I have enjoyed from this winemaker and I was overwhelmed by how delicious this one was. Flavorful dark fruit and red berries intertwined with gorgeous savory notes of earth.
