Scherrer Winery Pinot Noir Bliss Vineyard Russian River Valley

The nose is intoxicating. On the palate, it is herbal, with red fruit, florals, and orange rind. Tannins are soft, it is lovely now, and I don’t see this improving.

One of the more Burgundian Scherrer Pinots. Beautiful balance with nothing out of place. This is just fantastic.

Medium dark maroon color. A hint of Pinot funk on the nose. Herbal. Palate, okay, now we're talking. Timeout: I opened this too early, not because it's not terrific, but this is the real deal. A lot of acid, noticeable from start to finish. That means cellar worthy. Fruit is red cranberry, hey it's Thanksgiving, and stem or oak influence on the finish. This would hang with good burgs all day long.
