Rosehall Run, JCR Rosehall Vineyard Chardonnay, Prince Edward County

Similar to last tasting note a year ago.

Promising nose, crisp sour apple, peach, with very subtle herbs in the background. Tart palate (strong acidity, just a little to much for my taste), less minerality than other Ontario wines but it is still there in the background. Drink with food to balance acidity. Unsure if aging would benefit.

An enjoyable Chardonnay showing the skill and terroir available in the region. Refreshing !

Nice cool climate chardonnay. Oak is subtle and well managed.

Très bon Chardonnay minéral de Rosehall run, vif et frais, équilibré par un fruit croquant, pomme et citron. La bouche est assouplie par un léger élevage en fûts français qui lui ajoutent un soupçon de vanille et une légère trame épicée sans qu’il soit beurré. Belle longueur. Prêt à boire mais peut se garder encore un peu.

Better than last bottle tasted 15 months ago. Nice rich fruit, good dense mouth feel, nicely integrated oak giving a toasted element. Excellent overall.

Nice un-oaked Ontario Chardonnay. Bright clean flavours and finish with good concentration. Good acidity. Good value. Drinking well now on pop and pour.

Hungry Point - lite, citrus

Nice PEC Chardonnay. Medium weight with nice mouth feel. I much preferred the 2011 vintage of this wine. Hopefully more cellar time will help this wine come together.
