Needs more time. Still very tightly wound up, even after a 6 hour decant. Enjoyable but I would give this another 5-10 years.

Purple to cherry at the rim. Huge black fruit upfront to a lush mouthfeel across the palate. Comes up a little short 15 seconds

Elle home for filet. 1 hour in glass. V - Clear deep garnet with just under medium meniscus. N - Cherry, blackberry, cedar, baking spice, tobacco and cocoa. P - Similar to nose. Full, balanced, distinct flavors. S - Full bodied, Med+ acid, fine/Med (almost plus) tannins, long finish with med+ complexity. Delicious. Drinking well now, should last several more years.

Shared with my wine group for a Napa Cab night. We had the 2003 Shafer Hillside Select, the 2013 Larkmead Cabernet Dr. Olmo, the 2014 Phelps Insignia and the 2014 O'Shaughnessy Mt. Veeder. All were decanted for over an hour before pouring. The Larkmead was unanimously the least favorite wine. It's a nice wine, but disappointing considering the price. I've consistently been underwhelmed by Larkmead's Black label wines from 2012, 2013 and 2014, always preferring the "basic" white label Cabernet. …

This is a really good wine. We decanted it for 2 hours. There is still a good amount of fruit on the nose and palate. There are some earthy hints, but nothing like a Bordeaux. I enjoyed the wine, but I struggle justifying the $150 price point when I acquired it direct from the winery.

Floral nose in the glass. Still has a tannic finish with plenty of fruit. Has room to go. Maybe another 5-8 years.

Good, not great and way over priced. 91+ at best.

Juicy with pomegranate, cassis, graphite, and a clean rocky note. Very balanced with seamless tannins.

Very dark, opaque color. blood / purple and cant see through it at all. Bouquet is fantastic. Blueberry pie, spice, hibiscus, black cherry. Really nice tannins. Absolutely ready to drink now but will also last many years to come. Over time, the blueberry fruit subsided and cherry began to emerge. Medium dry, long finish, high alcohol but not heaty. lovely wine.

Not blind. This is drinking beautifully. The last time I had this (possibly 5 to 8 years ago) I was very disappointed. This is now in a great place.

Wine needed a 1 hour decant or slow ox. After time it opened up with balance and secondary characteristics. The fruit and body was a bit thin, but there is enough to enjoy. Blue and red fruit dominated the palate. A slight barnyard back end was noted after 4 hours as the wine seemed to go from a 93 to 90. This will not get better and I would recommend opening it soon before the fruit fades even more than …

Delicious. Great aromatics with loads of dark berry and plum at the center of perfumed oak influence and age driving tertiary aromas of leather, tobacco, and sandalwood. Dark and brooding palate with nice acidity and well mellowed tannins. Gave it a 2 hour decant before drinking.

Outstanding cab. Drink very well. Decanted for two hours then drank over another 2. Very balanced fruit, acid and tannins. Drank a week ago and don't remember specifics but do remember, WOW!

Splash decanted. Nice wine - black & red fruit, somewhat tannic. One dimensional though - out of the money trade from a QPR perspective. One bottle remaining in cellar - will hold & see if this improves years down the line

Cassis, mocha, and vanilla on the nose. I decanted for 2 hours before drinking, then drank over another 2 hours, but it was still somewhat tight. The palate has good concentration, but I wish it had more acidity to bring it into balance. Prominent tannins still, 10 years in. Finish is long, dominated by the tannins. I am still hoping this develops into an excellent wine once the tannins integrate, but the lack of acidity has me concerned. We shall …

Decanted for 3 hours. Really interesting wine. Dark blood red with a little rim variation. Aromas of brown sugar, leather black licorice and black cherry. Weird, but I get mild aromas of weed. Tannic but not overly so. Surprisingly smooth for a relatively young Cabernet. Not super fruity. Black cherry, dark plum with a bit of a citrus peel.

Enjoyable wine. Decanted for an hour before tasting. Still retaining some youthfulness with red and black fruit dominating the palate. Wine continued to improve over the next several hours. I would say no rush to drink, which is to my expectations. Will hold next bottle for 3 years to see how it develops.

Dark ruby in the glass. Beautiful notes of cherry/berry on the nose with a touch of wood. Cherry and dark berries on the smooth palate. Sadly, this wine disappeared way too quickly.

Purple with some cherry at the rim. Black fruits with some mineral. Drying across the palate with tannins still to soften. For my taste this needs another two to three years. Try again in 2023.

A beautiful full bodied wine from Napa! Took my first sip at 30 minutes open! Nose of dark fruit - lots, and earthy graphite with a mocha essence. Flavors of dark fruits of black raspberry and dark plum. Finish was long with beautiful tannins and essence of dark fruit, mocha and graphite which was long. A beautiful wine with my perfect steak.

I’d say just starting to creep into its drinking window. Needs a little air to show itself but then there is a lot of dark fruit, a touch of vanilla and tobacco. Well balanced. Very good wine for sure but the price point is harder for me to justify these days.

Very good fruit forward Cabernet with plenty of cigar box and black fruit upfront. Very smooth and balanced too. A nice effort....
