Well this was fantastic! Cork crumbled a little but was saved. No visible bricking and exrtensive depth of aromatics and levels of complexity. This may not improve further but has years ahead before decline.

After 1.5 hours decanted… in the glass, inky purple colour with browning tinge on the rim. Stewed bumble berry pie, raspberry and menthol on the nose. On the palette it is full bodied with acid and tannins still present - cola, raspberry, plum, eucalyptus and bittersweet chocolate. Medium long finish. Still drinking very well!

Once more Canada proofs that they have some decent and interesting red wines. As they are quite hard to get in Germany this was just my third red from Canada. It was really nice, a little closed in the beginning but after an hour it begun to open up. Great structure with firm tannins and a beautiful fruit on the palate. If I tasted that blind I would have guessed for an Bdx Cuvée from Chile.

Stunning nose. The fruit just jumps out of the glass as soon as it is poured. This is not a subtle wine. Dark fruits that are in your face. This is a bold wine that has years of life. I stopped buying Oculus because of the price, but this bottle has started to make me think that I need to revisit that decision. Awesome wine.

Cellared for 6 years, opened a 9 year old vintage. what a fantastic wine. At first I thought it was past its prime, but as I let it breath, the fuit opened up to a wonderful nose of cherries, in about half an hour the earthiness came outand another hour later, out came tobacco leaf and wet rotting leaves. This wine had a velvety silky texture very remeniscent of a top cru right bank bordeaux. I have been drinking this …

Came back to this over the course of three days. Nice sweet dark fruit, olive tapenade, crushed berries, smooth fine tannins, think this could still be left to age. A very nice wine.

Amazing. Drank all the others too soon in hindsight. What a mistake. Cherries and tree fruit up front; earth, forest and wood over four hours. Cork well preserved as is the structure. If you have any left, treat yourself and a friend to a rare experience.

Great preservation of fruit, full mouth feel. An Okanagan classic. 2006 was clearly a great year! Could easily carry another 3-5 yrs in good cellar conditions.

Clear dark purple in color. Clean nose of cassis and cherry. Dry, med body, med acidity, elegant tannins, blackberry and vanilla on palate. Short finish. Nice wine. Definitely better with time. Tried several years years ago much nicer now.

Wine of the night. This bottle followed a big Cali cab. The nose was spectacular but the flavor profile was somewhat flat. After about 45 minutes this turned around and the palate started to live up to the promises the nose had made. Wonderful hints of black current and dark cherries. Great with tandoori chicken.

Nice Bordeaux blend out of Canada. Still needs another 2-3 years to mature and get the full appreciation. Hold this bottle until 2014.

Really nice Bordeaux blend, but definitely pitching towards the new world spectrum. Needs some more time to bring itself together, but it has really nice bones. Too pricey, but is some of the best juice coming out of BC.

Tasted at the winery – Bordeaux blend of 51% Merlot, 26% Cab Sauv, 15% Cab Franc and 8% Petit Verdot. The nose was most similar to the ’04 but this seems less pronounced. Notes of blueberries, blackberries and dark plums on the palate. Medium to high tannin and acidity. Slightly boozy on the finish. On par with the ’05 and better than the ’04, but once again I find these wines overpriced and if you’re looking to spend this kind …

Wunderbare schöne Antwort auf einen Bordeaux-Blend. Sehr weiche eingebundene Tannine, Deutliche Cassis, Muskelpaket im Schafspelz, früh öffnen und atmen lassen

Had at Recent Tasting put on by the VQA, Wine is not ready to drink, Its a BIG BIG boy just punches you in the mouth with tannins, there is good fruit hiding behind it but yeah no where near drinkable
