Jackhammer Wine Company Chardonnay

This is an opulent, round, soft, Viognier-like, ripe-melon, fruit-bomb of a Chardonnay. Made by Stephen Dooley of Stephen Ross wines, this is his low-end Chardonnay. At 4 years of age it's still holding up, and judging from how well his top-of-the-line Chardonnays hold up — 10 years and sometimes more — this one will be just fine for another year or so to come. A bit of sulphur and tropical fruit on the nose. Flavours are ripe on the palate, peach, pineapple, no oak so quite simple. Decent but no more.
