Wagner Stempel, Siefersheimer Hollberg Riesling GG, Rheinhessen

Ripe mango, lime zest, lemon, ultra-ripe pineapple, white flowers, yellow apple, yellow peach, lovely saltiness on the finish. Really fantastic, fantastic balance of ultra ripe fruit and this powerful rounded acidity. Long finish of stone fruit and saline. A little shy on the nose, but just explosive on the palate. Incredibly powerful on the palate, just fantastic concentration and depth. Very nicely matured, but could definitely go longer.

Nicely matured Riesling GG: tropical fruit, stone, banana, mango, citrus, minerals, apple, nice long finish.

2024-01 Vinorules Riesling at Ocha (Ocha) : Tasted blind. Mineral nose. More sweetness. Intense. Rich. A bit fat. 91

In a great spot, yellow fruits, stoney minerality, electric power, long finish.

not blind, Zalto universal The colour was a bit too golden for ist Age. Inthe palate younger but for me too broad and a bit too sweet. I guess due to the vintage. Yellowstone fruits and good acidity but not precise in the finish, missing refeshing acidity. 90

No notes taken. Delicious with the Japanese food we had at dinner. Tons of mineral/acid character. Somewhat floral bouquet. Very much enjoyed by everyone. Could use 3-5 more years to develop.

Going into the Rhinehessen. Powerful volcanic rock. Older white volcanic ash which is why the Rieslings are so flinty and powerful. Picked around Auslese level. Not rot. Lots of doughy richness on that one. Honey, mountains of dry extract. And incredibly long. White floral aromatics. Hangs in the teeth for a very long.

GG picked at Spat levels, honey, saffron, apples, peach puree, petrol, light palate, dry and high acid, wine lingers, really pleasant, man that's good! Rheinhessen. The wine is fabulous!

PnP. Like prior note although seemed a bit less generous on the bouquet.

VDP- Tour Grosse Lage 2017 (Hotel Atlantic, Hamburg) : Did not taste vines of this estate for a long time, tasty stonefruit, spicy, fine grip with a midbodied fruit, less fruit, more the spicy way of Riesling, delicious and young, long aftertaste, a very tasty Riesling sample, *(**+-?), 89-92?

Lovely. Big, round, and full with ample acidity to complement it. Some orchard fruit on the palate. Big ripe fruit on the nose and palate, while still maintaining a minerally backbone. Drinking well right now in its infancy, but this is going to shine with time. Truly stellar

Round and intense on the palate, highly delicate and long on the finish.

PnP. Pale yellow. Lovely spicy aroma showing almost exotic fruits. Harmonious palate, quite full bodied with acidity to match. Drink now or wait for more complexity. Almost Alsatian/Burgundian Pinot-family in style. Nevertheless fine wine
