Earthy red fruit, some spice. Nice, mostly resolved tannins and a nice acidic finish. Enjoyed and seems to be drinking well, especially on day 2.

Last bottle haul. Blue fruit on the nose. Taste is light medium bodied. Good finish.

Very low pH. Very lean. Highly tannic. A few more years might make this better, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (J&S’s) : Double blind. Deep color. Reticent at first, black fruit, vanilla and blue fruit notes are eventually coaxed out. There's a brown sugar element as well which reminds me a bit of TRB cabs. Full-boded, with fine tannins and flavors of black fruit, oak spice and vanilla. Guessed Napa cab sauv. (J&S)

What a monster! As I was hoping it would be, Petit Verdot aged in all new French Oak. The parts are there, floral, spice, blackest of the fruits, tannins, and vanilla. But seriously, this isn't ready. I'd say wait at least 2 more years.
