Popped & poured and drinking well from the start. Enticing blue & black fruit up front, enough acidity to be interesting, but tannins pretty much gone. Still a very enjoyable wine. Medium finish. Drink up as it's past its peak.

Very enjoyable. Nose of vanilla and subtle dark fruit. On tasting, Note of cedar, blackberry and for me a hint of blueberry. Peak maturity IMHO. Well done!

This has aged beautifully. Nose of deep dark black cherries and blackberries. Color shows youth and vigor. Palate shows some dense black fruits as well with tremendous verve and lift. There is still a macerated berry quality I enjoy. Deeply layered and still bold; some framboise is present. Acidity is a bit high, but agreeable, this really has held up well (six years since my last taste) and it will certainly could go 15 more years, easily. Alas, tis is …

Initially red fruit, blue fruit comes to the front as it opens up. Notes of dark chocolate and graphite. Medium body Sweet, but powerful tannins Medium acidity Decent but not quite incredible finish; a pleasant slow fade. Lots of life left! I'd guess this wine is just starting to hit its stride and should continue to show nicely for 5-6 more years at minimum.

Solid expression of Cabernet Sauvignon with its fresh blackberry, oak, forest floor and earthy nose. The fruit filled finish showed structure and tannin that will be better with a few years of bottle age.

Smooth vanilla ride, with dark fruits and enough acidity to make it a decent food wine. Also good just to sip.

Smooth as silk. Dark berries and oak. A little too simplistic for my tastes, but well made.

Nice and plush, but perhaps a bit simplistic.

Nose of ripe dark berries, sassafras and cherry liqueur. Palate show a very decent amount of hi-toned plushness. The dark fruits of blackberries, currant and black pkum rule the roost. Mouth feel belies price-point ($40). A densely packed tannin laden round styled cab that is both juicy and elegant, typical of vintage. A admirable balance with a very decent finish. Gonna get more--- and quick.

Decanted for 9 hours. This youngster will last a LONG time. Beautiful dark fruit that compliments the heavy tanin. This will come together nicely in the bottle in the cellar. Give it time and or a long decant. This is another beautiful vintage for Oakville Ranch. Two bottles both consistent.
