Brownish garnet, hint of bricking. No notes on nose. Nicely complex. Cola, savory, much thicker and more masculine in mouthfeel and tastes than the 09 Thomas and 00 Chambolle Musigny it was drunk with. Intense savory mid palate, not quite enough sweet fruit for perfect balance, Peppery, very long finish.

ok, so on the nose here's my first impression- good bright fruit coming through. A little bit of horseradish combined with beets with a lot of cherry fig newtons. (I'm not sure if they produce cherry fig newtons...but they should). After tasting I immediately notice that it has a lot of grip. There's some gaminess on the mid-palate which is intriguing. I'm also liking the silkiness to it as well. Really dense and thick. I think the finish on this …

Not decanted but poured about 30 minutes in advance. Dark garnet with no bricking. Pleasant but very light nose. Medium bodied with a mouth filling rich taste of dark fruit. Very focused and elegant, not a fruit bomb. Long, rich aftertaste that ends a little thin. Very elegant and just delicious.

Not bad, but not great, especially at this price where pinots from Foxen and HP deliver more for less IMO. Perhaps needs more time?
