This was a large scaled pinot that was surprisingly open knit. Dark fruited, black cherry and a hint of cola and hints of smoke. Suave and seamless, but well polished. Good depth, but of ripe forward profile. Hint of heat on the finish. This is forward and rewarding now—I have no idea how this will age but it’s delicious now.

Big wine. Lots of cola, dark fruits, and some earth. Opened too young, lacking in nuance. At 14.5% Abv I probably could have expected this. That being said there is enough fruit and structure here that holding for 5+ years is perhaps the move if you want nuance and terroir to show.

From 375ml. Cherry, cola, spice and darkish berries on the nose. Palate is ripe and dense. It should show more nuance with more age. Prefer MM's 17 a lot more for its silkiness.
