Big nose of tobacco, deep forest floor, cinnamon bark, baking spice and nuance of alcohol. Black berry, toffee, tea leaves and earthy, firm tannin and hints of black licorice with layers of dusty earth on the finish. Nice wine but a bit disjointed

Disappointing. This bottle was "thin" and not like the usual dark style PN that Alexana makes. Maybe it needed to sit longer, but it did not taste like that. My guess is something might have happened when it was shipped.

This wine is excellent. Can’t say I’ve ever been disappointed by Alexana. Really nice expression of Willamette Valley Pinot noir.
