mature Mosel-Riesling, powerful in it's aroma and even more powerful in it's acidic backbone, not super lean, could have had some botrytis, exotic fruit, I expect it to stay some more years on that level but don't expect further improvement

Wonderfully precise and crisp medium-sweet Riesling with white flowers, a whiff of petrol and citrus fruit. Stays fresh on the palate, goes well with food still. Lovely

Popped and poured at fridge temp. This has reached maturity, all the baby fat is gone. Peach, yellow apple, with a tiny hint of kerosene, and maybe a touch of nuttiness, even a hint of honey on the nose. On the palate, there is excellent peachy fruit, with good acidity, the sweetness of some years ago changing to caramel. This went exceedingly well with a dahl.

Popped and poured at fridge temp. Developing clear notes of petrol on the nose, with ripe apples as well. The palate also shows ripe yellow apples, but the acidity is not quite up to the sweetness I think. Very nice, but perhaps a touch on the flabby side. Maybe a few more years for the acidity to pick up?

Decanted for one hour, but nevertheless somewhat unbalanced at the moment. The sweetness is dominating the acidity and minerality. But a good structure, mouthfeeling and a long finish. Better on the second day. Will improve over the time. Best with spicy / savory food. We had potato puree with boudin-chutney, onion-confit, apple-chutney and sautéed foie gras. 89? with potential - 92...

Some sulphur on the nose that quickly blew over, to notes of ripe pineapples, nectarines. At this juncture, it's a tad (too) sweet and cloying for my taste, unfortunately, although there's ample expressions of fruits and minerality throughout.

Cracked and poured at fridge temp. Orange and apricot on the nose, nice sweet white stonefruits, nectarine, on the palate with good acidity to keep it up. This is very young at the moment, shall have to leave the rest of the bottles in the cellar for a long time.

Another excellent bottle. A high wire act of sweetness and acidity; incredibly bright, fresh citrus, pear and apple fruit tinged with floral, mineral and sponti-yeast notes and a spine of powerful, tooth rattling acidity beneath. A bottle of this disappears quickly (7% alcohol!), and I suspect I didn't buy enough of Lieser's 2010s.

Really impressive. Full of ripe limes, apples and nectarines with a touch of sponti yeast funk, vivid floral aromas and an underpinning of slate. There's lots of ripeness and power here, yet it feels remarkably light and well balanced with bright acidity cutting through the sweetness without feeling overwhelming. Fantastic Spätlese.
