Heavy style Pinot with an aggressive finish that is not adding any complexity. 14.5% hot alcohol that prevents it from being a refined Pinot.

Lots of barrel spice to it. A little bit more linear than the others, more lift, but I think I like others for their massive fruit character more.

Delightful, paired with seared chicken and apricot glaze sauce. Pretty hot alcohol on the nose. Much better with the food than for sipping. Good cherry fruit on the palate. Medium to full bodied pinot. Pretty intense color.

Definitely should age for a few more years at least. Tasted very good at such a young age, and lives up to what you would expect at this price and locale.

Family Winemakers of California (Pasadena, CA) : Swan clone and Dijon clone 115. Tighter than the RRV Pinot. Muted notes of Bing cherries, earth, and leather. And elegant wine with very good acidity.
