Vinho muito equilibrado. Taninos domados, álcool educado e doçura na medida certa. Frutas vermelhas no olfato e paladar. Corpo médio com muita maciez fazem um ataque pleno em boca. Denso na exata necessidade proporcionando a formação de lágrimas consistentes e duradouras. Retrogosto agradável de boa duração.

Very flat, nothing special. Barely OK as a vin de table, I wouldn't serve it to guests. Thankfully we only had one bottle in the cellar.

Tasting notes consistent with last year, only confirming that the first was not a flawed outlier. Tasted, spit, tasted again, spit, and poured the rest of the bottle down the drain.

Not finding much fruit. Maybe some over ripened cherry. Tobacco is the dominant flavor. Acidic and a little hot. Tannins show late. May soften with decanting. Color is purple, not ruby red.

Dark fruit and savory notes on the nose. Smooth mouthfeel, punch of blackberries, vines and strong leather.

Light- to medium-bodied purple in the glass. Nose of pure black cherry fruit. Very soft on the palate. Flattens out almost immediately, leaving a faint flavor of cherries on the palate that devolves into cough syrup. Not a fan.

Very fruit forward sangiovese with a bouquet that just knows you out. Performing way above its price point.

Very nice Sangiovese. Earthy red fruit with a hint of leather. Really opened up over the course of an hour and a half or so. This was a great value on the wine list at $43 and then they charged only $34. Even better. Open this one a couple of hours before dinner and enjoy.

Lovely deep ruby red in appearance straight out of the bottle. This was a pop-n-pour, which I would normally not do, but for the incredible price, I decided to throw caution to the wind and hit this one right off the bat. Look, this is a completely serviceable wine that would have benefitted significantly from some self-discipline on my part. Just a couple of hours in the decanter would have elevated this juice to the 90+ point level, but not …

Popped and poured; bad idea. Clearly needed aeration, to the extent that it was hard to judge. Seemed yeasty on the nose, but we got some cassis also. Tannic and hollow on the palate. Have two more, they can wait until 2011 and MUST get lots of air before consumption.

Deep ruby color. Reticent nose of floral powder and smoke with some mocha and sour black cherry. Good acidity on the palate, medium bodied with fine tannins.

Rich, red fruits on the nose. A little ripe, as in overipe for Italy, but fine. 87+

Ripe nose, soft feminine, sweet tannins. A tad simple but a quality drink.
