Return to Willamette; 7/2/2023-7/8/2023 (Portland & Willamette) : Blend of Bishop Creek, Hyland and NYSA vineyards. It’s an easy style of wine. Bit fruity. Cleaner in style. Probably get more nuance with some more time or at least it seems to suggest that would be the case.

Also tight and restricted and maybe with a bit of reduction to it as well. So give it a little bit more time. Swirling helped.

Black fruits, grippy tannins, roasty espresso and ripe strawberries provide a burst of delightful energy. This tastes distinctly wild and powerful like an American Pinot, yet has hints of Meo's wine making signature of dark fruits lifted by acidity onto a solid mineral finish. I eagerly await what Meo and team develop using the Oregon fruit in the coming years.
