Le Grappin Beaune 1er Cru Grèves Blanc

1/1, good cork. Pale/medium straw. Nose shows grapefruit, touch of cream and spice. Medium bodied, grapefruit, lightly sour, touch of creamy breadth, fresh acids, good length finish with a hint of chalky mineral. Very good indeed.

These were just ok. Kind of a clunky white burgundy. Perhaps my expectations were too high.

The 2012 Le Grappin Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Grèves is medium(-) bright yellow in oclour with a nose of orange peels, zesty lime, tad bit of wet grass and some lemon curd. There's a broad palate of orange peels with some gentle wood. Round overall, and rather focused on the mid-palate. A good structure and acidity, pushing the wine for a medium finish.
