steel & mild petrol on the nose, granny smith and wet stone minerality on the palate. high acid well out of balance with fruit implies past its best drinking years. not uninteresting. possibly: disappointing for a great vintage + decent site.

Some rubber funk, pears, and apples on the nose. On the palate, somewhat watery (but strongly acidic) green, mealy apples, and even a bit of cheesy lactic-ness. This wine is clearly a bit tired, but I actually liked sipping on it quite a bit.

This is way past its prime, though not entirely undrinkable. Nose of wet sandy pears and green apples sitting in a musty cardboard box; tastes like watered-down sour apple Blowpops.

A bit disappointed here... Perhaps it was my particular bottle, but this wine appears to have broken down. It had an air of petroleum as would be expected of a 14 year old vintage which gave me hope. But beyond that, no complexity at all. It tasted like apple juice with a bit of white grape juice mixed in. Quite sweet on the pallet which remained the entire length of the finish.
