In truth this is one of the better offerings that Texas wine producers yield. Grape Creek Vineyards has done a remarkable job capitalizing on the trend (craze) of Texas wine over the past several years and they have made some decent selections, this being one of them. Nice dryness with juicy dark fruits and mild hints of baking spices.

Dark garnet, med to full bodied. Cassis, dark berries, a little smoke, plenty of fruit. Smooth tannins, med finish. Really enjoyed it at the winery and again at home a few years later.

Rich dark garnet color. Big bold nose and mouth. Surprisingly earthy! If it weren't so huge I could mistake it for a Pinot Noir. Slightly gamely finish like a Norton or Lenoir.
