I haven't really cared for Chianti when I've tried it in the past, and I do think I like this blend better than straight up sangiovese wine, but it's still a bit tannic for my tastes. Seems like bolder reds aren't my favorite.

I was thrilled with the QPR on this bottle. It's interesting right from the start, but be sure to decant -- it's deserving of some time and attention. The pour is between crimson and burgundy, not very leggy, and rather dense. Blackberry and fig buried in earth dominate the nose, though the expected cherry is somehow there in spirit. Very good "value" wine. Medium-bodied, fruit-forward, no tannins of note. Not complex, above-average acidity, slight pepper notes. I would buy this again as a good pairing with Italian food.

Sangiovese with some Cab and Merlot blended in, makes this wine juicy, smooth and an easy drinking big red. Dark burgundy in color. Nice oak and fruit and smoke flavor. It is well structured with medium tannins and drinking very nice right now. Makes me long for my trip to Tuscany.

The wine looks crimson in color. The legs are medium in pace and its aroma has hints of blackberry, fig, black pepper and dust. The taste reminds of blackberry, plum and a hint of licorice. Cherries and other fruits, along with some earthy notes mid-palate. Good oak with moderate tannins. Very smooth and easy drinking. Goes nicely with pizza.
