Koehler Grenache Santa Ynez Valley

First bottle served in our grenache wine tasting. Though still fruit forward, this wine has gained some complexity in the year and a half since the last bottle. Nice new world grenache.

Peppery nose. Raspberry, strawberry and earth fruit. Rich cherry kirsch finish.

ripe, with rich strawberries i could imagine this with creamy cheeses like a brie or camembert - will stand up well to the strong cheese flavors.

Once again the Koehler grenache is a fruit-driven wine with little complexity. Works very well with meals that have a distinct fruit component. Had tonight with a raspberry sauce over hazelnut encrusted chicken.
