Domaine Tessier, Meursault, Les Grands Charrons

Dégusté à l’aveugle avec des amis, superbe Meursault assez droit, fin, racé, un vrai délice.

Lovely classic rendition of Meursault (no reduction!), lemon, white peach, reasonable use of oak, white flowers, balanced acidity.

Medium+ intensity on the nose with lemon, elegant oak, grapefruit, pear, minerality. Medium+ acidity, long finish. 92+ (Too) young at the moment

Nez avec une touche florale et un petit côté épicé. Clear, deep golden colour. Pronounced intensity, devoloping. Lemon, lemon peel, crisp pear, yellow apple, yellow plum, slight hint of pineapple. Anis. Butter, cream and toffee. Vanilla and some toast. Medium+ acidity, full body, long finish. Absolutely magnificent. Had it for lunch and the wine spanned both oysters, grilled monkfish with hollandaise and squid with chili.

Quaffable.

Hong Kong Pearl of Burgundy wine trip; 1/16/2025-1/19/2025 : Really don't like this producer's wines; heavy, plodding and uninteresting.

The one in Hong Kong (POB/Marmo) : First time trying this producer. Popcorn, butter, white flowers and green apples dominate the bouquet with meyer lemons, custard, pineapples and starfruit dominate the palate. This isn't the most serious wine but it has good depth and power.

2015 and 2020 Retrospective Lunch (mostly magnum) (Marmo Bistro) : Impressions, from a magnum, reductive, sulphur, rather in the face notes, palate lacks a little acid. Served rather warm unfortunately which could have affected the tasting.

A besoin de 20 minutes pour s’ouvrir, citronné, floral, fin, digeste, vraiment très bien pour la gamme.

Light pale yellow color. On the nose, a bit muted overall, but can sense white flower, citrus, and sea salt, on the palate, it got a mid palate richness, citrus cream, butter, however, finish is a bit short and does not have a lot of structure.
