This was a big, buttery, tropical CA Chardonnay making no excuses. Medium golden in the glass, pronounced aromas and flavors, palate is dry and well balanced with oak/fruit/alcohol well integrated, ripe apple, pear, pineapple, toast, notes of cream, hints of cedar, acidity was medium, full bodied, long lingering finish. Vertical tasting with the 2002 February 2007.

This was good. Six years old and can go longer. Fruit but with complexity. Nice finish. I will get again and get more

Cellared properly (purchased at the winery) this wine is still holding on nicely...

I enjoy older chardonnays and this is drinking extremely well right now.

This wine is hanging on nicely - if you like older domestic chardonnay. It may only have a year of life left for the remaining bottles.

Nose of honeysuckle and butterscotch. Pears, butterscotch and tropical fruits on the initial palate finishing with some oak on the finish. Many layers to it. I think age has been kind to this wine and it is drinking well right now.

Superb mature chard, very burgundian, with pear, flowers and fine oak integrated.

Nice, mature California chardonnay. Deep gold color, and nice ripe apple, pear and spice on the nose. Palate also shows nice fruit and decent acidity. My only complaint is that that 14.4% alcohol peeks through on the finish - not as heat, but just as a component in the taste profile that I would rather not notice.

A good example of a middle-of-the-road chardonnay (in a lot of senses) that has a bit of age on it. It doesn't have any features that would warrant a higher score, but the fruit, the acidity (which is - to me - a bit on the high side) and the oak are in good balance, it has decent length with a tiny bit of tangy bitterness (that I happen to like) near the end, and the wine is a pleasure …

Malolactic peach nose. Big body, smooth, almost slightly raisiny. Light on the fruit, big oak again. Slight citrus on finish. Similar to Overlook.

Wow Still Good. Not up to the Pahlmeyer Sonoma coast. But good fruit, oak and citrus.

2000 Landmark Damaris Reserve chardonnay 1/14/04 at home. Fairly clean, though short of 'brilliant.' Nose kind of shy, and not particularly distinctive. Better in the mouth. Full, creamy, with tropical fruits. 4-10-16-7-87/100
