International Random Tasting 2023 : Tough nose to start almost thought it was lost but wow the taste was great. A bit more dilute than prior memory but nice balanced of caramel, dates, slight orange zest.

Lots of Italians and a couple others (Cleveland) : This was served a bit too cold, but once it warmed up at the table, it was great. Golden in color. The nose is very interesting with honey, maple/butterscotch, dates and slight orange notes. On the palate, this is sweet but not cloying. In fact, i was expecting more sweetness, but it has probably lost a bit at 16 years from vintage. Not this this showed old as it definitely is …

WOW... The nose on this wine is enough to stop conversation, baked apple, spices (cinnamon and clove), a sharp floral note, oxidization in a complex background (similar to sherry but more subdued).It took me about 5 minutes to take the nose of this wine in before I tasted it. On the palate, was a mouth coating viscosity, more baked apple and citrusy caramel, with a floral spicy finish... this wine went forever, I was still tasting it with the hangover. …
