Peppery. Brown color. Good but not my favorite. “Smooth” smell.

The wine looks garnet colored with some brown. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry, oak, vanilla, chocolate and alcohol/hot. It tastes like blackberry, prune and plum. Also floral. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity. Benefited greatly from breathing. Blind: ~ Medium transparency brownish ruby, nose of vanilla and dill indication of is oak in Spanish style. ~ Cranberry and otherwise darker plum largely black fruit. ~ Hint of sweetness in mid palate but dry on finish. Tannins medium and acid medium. Generally wood driven including some espresso but not overwhelmingly so. ~ WSJ club
