First try at a Carpenito Vino Nobile. It did not disappoint. Big wine with well integrated tannins. Dark cherry and leather. Very smooth including a long finish. Will definitely try again

Decent complexity and length, with a black cherry profile but tannic. Required decanting to soften tannins. Would buy again.

I liked from the Vino Nobile Tasting. Carpineto was my favorite producer by far. In all of their wines you can taste more earth and less wood. As in prior years, I liked this there Vino Nobile Reserva. 91- pts.

Earthy, currant, withered wood, and mushroom nose. Dry, palate with good grip and high acidity; long, complex, savoury finish. 4.5/5

Not ready yet, but still very good. Not 2015-2016 potential.

A dry red wine with a soft finish. The tannins were subtle as I would expect from this grape.

Needs aerated, but good overall

Dried berry, savoury spice, smoky mineral, and carob nose. Elegant and caressing, medium-full bodied palate with flavourful replays; glycerined and structured, smart, balanced finish.

70% Sangiovese (Prugnolo Gentile) with Canaiolo making up most of the remaining blend, the medium-high intensity nose is fresh with earthy, savoury, dark fruited, ripe dark berry, and clove spice aromas. It has very nice aroma replays on the dry, medium-full bodied palate, and is supported by juicy acids and big, structured tannins. Long, earthy, clove, and savoury finish. Will be more enjoyable after a couple of years in the cellar. Score: 91+ pts
