Drinking very nicely, even now, with medium fruit, soft tannins and good body in what I have always considered a 'lighter' wine.....

Not as good as the 2005 we tried side by side. Lighter in color, still ruby-magenta, but more medium-dark than pure dark. Lovely nose of dried flowers, blackberry, simple leather notes and noticeable alcohol. Acids are more pronounced on taste, less integrated into berry complexities, and ultimately take away from the finish, which is short and indistinct as wine. It's OK, but nothing like the 2005. Wait a year, see what happens.

Nose is a little gamey and slightly Rhoneish, but definitely Bordeaux fruit and structure in the mouth, warm finish that really lingers. Still tannic and somewhat closed after a nice first hour which showed a lot of red fruit flavors.

Big nose on this with lots of dark fruit; smooth as silk and balanced; just a tad weak on the mid-palate, but this is easily overlooked amongst the other strengths; nice soft tannins on the finish. It was nicely paired with marsala chicken, but might not hold up to a chunk of beef. This was a great bargain at $16.

A touch green, but only in comparison to the massive cab monster sitting right next to it. Still, not terribly concentrated but all the better for it. Or rather, maybe just a more structural style of blend, revealing less fruit in favor of its structure.

This blend is: 49% Cab Sauv 48% Merlot 3% Syrah Herbal peppermint and other green vegetal notes on the nose. Thin mouthfeel, light on the flavor. This wine just doesn't carry any "oomph" Awkward hard tannins because they just don't fit with the watery weight of the wine.

Funny, I stopped drinking back vintage Arietta H Block Hudson in order to drink this. Tells me something, I guess.

Open 1 hour: Nose is big and fruity with lots of vanilla oak. Palate: Starts off very dark, a little woody, decent fruit, decent finish. Not a wow wine at all. It paired well with Beef ribs tonight. Slow cooked all day with some good seasoning and a nice sauce. A luke warm would buy again.

I mostly got cab out of this, with rich red cherry fruit and currant flavors with a bit of oak and some blueberries from the syrah in the background. Fairly soft and smooth. Fruity but not out of balance. About what you would expect at the price point -- a nice blend but it won't have you singing its glories.

PnP. Dark purple fairly saturated. Big fruity aromas with a touch of earth, espresso, licorice and oak. Big ripe balck fruit frlavours with a touch of coffee licorice (red and black). A bit hollow in the middle. Finishes fairly long with anice mocha and anise note. Started to fall apart a bit after being opened for a few hours and became more acidic. Score is on the initial PnP.

a good solid red blend. Fruit is dark and muted, tannins are tame. Perfectly pleasing but not going out to purchase again. Others better for the $.

Oh yeah! Cherry, chocolate and tobacco. Easing down into itself as well. Very well done.

(Consumed at the SUPER 8 - Grangeville, Idaho) Did not decant. Dark garnet in colour. Licorice, Currant paste and dark berries. There's a little tobacco as well. Excellent nose. There's a hint of black pepper from the 3% Syrah. The palate needed a little more concentration to be outstanding. Decent finish and the tannins are fine. Great Washington Claret. Very ready. Drink now - 2016.

Seems to be showing off its syrah spice more than last time. Also darker in its fruit than I remember from last time. But just opened, so we will see where it goes. The iron and tobacco of Washington cab comes up the more I taste. "A good morning drink" one taster notes.

Disagree with the positive comments about the balance, I think the acids overpower the fruit on this one. If that's your thing, then great. Tannins seem OK, but overall its too astringent on the palette for me. Glad I didn't buy more than one.

2nd day. dusty red and blue fruits. wrestling mat when i was 8. i hated wrestling, but i love smelling this wine. high notes of white flowers. easy on the palate. great fruit seasoned with black pepper(3% syrah). very well balanced in terms of fruit, acid and tannin. this wine is a steal at this price point.

Lovin' the blue and black fruit expression off of the cork pull. Watery minerality on the nose. I am really liking it. Palate is light on its feet and lively with acid. Fresh and easy to drink. Lingering finish with the acid riding high. Again, I love it but I could certainly see why others would not. Oustanding at $25.

Black cherry fruits and touches of vanilla, tobacco and a bit of black pepper spice. I wonder if that last part is the Syrah showing through a bit. A bit more robust oak coming through with green notes. Palate has very soft tannins, smooth if you will, but slightly higher acid on the body. Which to me makes it very fun to drink. Fairly uncomplicated wine. Finish rides a bit high on the acids but again I don't mind. Fruit …

Deep colour, but not much nose. Huge fruit up front and nice finish.

Opened and sampled tonight, more tomorrow. And more: nice balance btw a tangy fruit palate and a mild tannic finish. Moderate earthly and tobacco aroma. A solid blend.
