Still needs a 1-2 hour decant, but has beautiful freshness, almost a bit of eucalyptus, alongside pure red and black fruits, tilled earth, baking spice, tobacco, and minerality. Delicious!

Subtle bouquet of berries, preserves, spices. Nice, lush palate, round and harmonious, sweet, nice amount of freshness, a bit of bite, good finish. Easy to drink, yet with some substance. Good to go.

Drinking with the wife at the Broadmoor! This is a fun wine, right in the middle of its window. Primary fruits are melding into secondary and tertiary flavors and aromas. Can very much smell and taste the cab franc, menthol, eucalyptus, mint but not under ripe greens. I’m not certain how long this wine will last, still some strong tannin but it feels like it’s in a great spot. We will enjoy our remaining wine from this German count every …

Super solid. Leather notes coming through, maybe a touch of brett but very very mild if so.

Dark fruited but primarily earth and mineral overshadowed the fruit. This was great with lamb until we added mint sauce, which blew our palates and couldn't taste anything. But ut does need food. We set it aside for awhile and found that the plummy fruit came back later and was much more balanced. Very decent St Emillion

Pulled from cellar after 15 years and decanted. Enjoyed with a home made beef stew with company. Did not disappoint. Aged well. Slight brick color, forest floor aroma with dark berries. Low alcohol and low fruit forward, the way I like a bureaux. Not overly complex like a more revered Bordeaux, but strait forward and enjoyable. Glad I had the opportunity to drink this wine.

Appetizing bouquet of ripe strawberries, blackberries, a bit of pipe tobacco, undergrowth. Lush palate, sweet with a bit of acidity, tannins feel relatively resolved, leading to a medium finish. In a great spot and would not wait with this.

93, pushing 94. Popped cork, let bottle sit open for 3 hours and poured a glass then recorked. Earthy dark fruit aroma with a touch of cigar box and spices, light alcohol on the nose. Medium body and intensity in the mouth, I like the low 13.5 ABV, letting the forest floor, mushroom, dark earth come through. Medium acidity and tannin on day-1; tanniphobes need not worry. Very pleasing longish earthy finish. Reopened and finished on day-2 and it was …

Wow. Within minutes of opening, this was truly special. Dark berries, cigar, and floral notes. On the palate, this was pure silk and absolutely impeccable. So much going on. On the lighter, elegant side of full bodied. Paired with our cheeses and sausage, then with mixed grill. This is good to go. In fact, I think it lost a couple of steps near the end of the meal. Drink now with minimal decanting for the best of everything that a …

I'm not drinking any F'ing Merlot ........ (Chateau Glenn) : Menthol clove, dark cherry, blackberry and minerals on the nose. Farily silky finish on the palate with some tannins peeking through. I picked this as m wine double blind and most of the rest of the group called this out as old world. My 4 of 6, the groups 5 of 6 (5 picked this 4th and 1 picked this as last).

I thought this was quite closed - even the next day - and needs more time - has a great future but leave for at least a couple of years

Blackberry, cassis, leather, gravel; powerful and firm yet graceful and mostly balanced, with a long sustained finish; still slightly closed but enjoyable and drinkable nonetheless; contrary to some other notes here, I found this most engaging and enjoyable upon opening with some decline as the hours passed

Pnp but probably should have decanted. Still muscular and tannic. Oak influence there. Rich graphite nose, red fruits, creamy. A little dissonance with the palate which was lighter to medium bodied. Balanced and pure, but with good acid, a hint of green, and chewy tannins on the medium long finish. Can hold for a few more years to develop secondary characteristics.

Had the hotel restaurant give this a 3h decant before dinner, but more would do no harm. Ripe red cherry, blueberry, spices (pepper and savory), just some very early signs of aging notes and wet earth. Vibrant acidity on the palate, tannin with grip but sufficient integrated with the decant. Clearly red berry fruit here with a decent length finish. A solid right bank Bordeaux, quite muscular in style, that appeared less developed than some of the left bank cousins …

I really enjoyed this. Yeah it was my first night out since the quarantine started but it’s a really good wine. lots of oak influence but the fruit is present and it’s a good drink. Glad I bought two of these bad boys.

Dark ruby in color with a short brick/ reddish rim. On the nose, blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, wildflowers, spices, peppercorn, pencil lead, dark earth and coffee. Not very powerful though. Full bodied with medium acidity and nice legs. Dry on the palate with cooked cherries, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, diet cola, coffee, earth, vegetables and wet leaves. Medium minus on the finish with firm tannins and tangy cranberries. This 8 year old is drinking nicely now, although not …

Pnp at home despite having read some of the implied warnings here on CT - well I simply could not find anything more suitable to open in the wine fridge. This is indeed a big wine for 2012. Dark garnet, almost black to the rim. Dark fruit, still a fair bit of oak that has not been absorbed and coffee notes from the barrel toast. I don't mind the fine to medium tannins, just wonder if this is a bit …

A bit oaky and not ready really for consumption today. However a lot of interesting stuff doing on in terms of fruit and texture behind the oak. Believe this will better in 5 years' time.

A dry and serious wine. Dark, tannic, and surprisingly traditional. Dark cherry, cocoa, forest floor, beef blood. Not plump nor hedonistic. Not sure of the CF in here but it makes itself felt with slight green and tannic properties. This really grew on me. Nowhere near ready. Drink next bottle in 5 years.
