Château des Templiers Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine sur lie

Not really a tasting note, just wondering who decided that this was muscat (the varietal indicated). Muscadet is made from Melon de Bourgogne, NOT muscat. I hope like hell this was a case of auto-correct. . . As an aside, I opened this with chicken piccata as is was the only this cold that seemed remotely appropriate -- and it was fabulous together. Not the path I normally would have trod, but delightful all the same.

Lots of ripe red apple on the palate without being sweet. Touch of elegent pear, white flower and faint seashell. Hits all the notes of a well made muscadet
