Tasted better and better as it opened in the decanter. Smooth and complex and the fruit came out after about an hour.

Decanted with Menu aerating decanter and drank with dinner. Medium body. Dark brick red. Far from opaque. Cherries, with dark fruit overtones. On the tart side. Pleasant. Would have been better with red meat.

At first a little rough around the edges and punchy, this wine smoothed out incredibly after decanting for an hour. Notes of raspberry came through, with a finish of pepper and oak. Quite nice right now, but be sure you decant it for at least 30 minutes.

Perfectly aged at this point! Wonderful balance of fruit, smoothness and complexity. Notes of dark fruit, especially BlackBerries at the start, followed by notes of pepper and spice at the finish. Wonderful wine right now!

I just recently wrote a review about my disappointment with where this wine has gone in the 2014 offering. Then my wonderful wife found me this 2011 for father's day. For a complete review look at my 2010 bottle. This wine is peaking now. Perfection. My favorite cab. 2009-2013 is the solid window.

Ripe red and black fruits, nothing special or notable. Better than simple but really hard pressed to get excited about it.

My Favorite wine in the $25 dollar range. Big and bold without being harsh.

The nose is tight and filled with meaty notes of cherries, cassis, dark chocolate, walnut shell, and planting soil. It definitely shows its youth in the glass, but it has balancing acidity, tasty red berry fruit, toasty oak richness, and crushed rock minerality on the finish. It ends up fleshing out and opening up rather nicely.

Huge cassis fruit, but with acid and tannin to keep it in check. Very nice.
