dried blueberries, minty, smoke, chocolate, and some misty leaves starting to show acid and fruit hit immediately and then fades to oak and complexity really comes across on the palate

Rich and dark black fruit. And then some powerhouse tannins. Feels like its been open more than a day. But it actually hasn't been. Its still pretty darn tasty. Superior in quality. and superior in value if at $65.

Initial pour shows solid fruit with a firm (but not too firm) oak structure. After an hour or two, it opens nicely to yield an inky blackberry and black cherry fruit with modest vanilla and licorice notes. Tannins keep a grip on the whole affair to retain the structure but are not overly grippy.

Excellent wine. dark cherry and boysenberry with medium to long finish. This can go for 3 or 4 more years but it's drinking well with about a 30 minute decant.

Excellent Napa cab Bordeaux blend for the price. Classic flavors with blue and black fruit. Still a bit oaky on the finish but settled a bit after open. Great wine to sock away in the cellar and enjoy over the next 5 years.

Drank by the glass on United Polaris. This is quite an enjoyable wine, pretty fruit forward, but aged nicely. Balanced acidity and tannins. Notes of blueberry, red cherry, red plum, rosemary. Drinks well on its own, but would also go nicely with some mushroom pasta. 91 points.

UA Polaris menu wine. Young and still full of oak at 6 yrs. On the nose, fresh cut flowers, hint of smoke, dark cherries, hint of prune. Tannins seemingly resolved, still some vanilla across the palate. Great wine, medium to full body with a long finish. Body has good depth, with tastes of dark cherries, boysenberries and plums. Dark cocoa adding more depth to the flavor. Looking forward to another bottle of this wine.

Served on my IAH to SYD United flight. Deep dark magenta color. Blackberry, plum, chocolate covered graham cracker, and marshmallow root. Smooth, dry, ever so slightly grippy palate. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the medium long+ finish. Wines are typically not as good at altitude, so take this rating with a grain of salt. It certainly helped to make the flight more pleasant.

Young? Absolutely, but on night 2 it was starting to show itself with some black fruit, boysenberry, a tangy finish with fine but chewy tannins, and black cherry. Shows a lot of promise.

Opaque dark purple bowl holding color but thinning at the rim. Ripe berries, boysenberry, some chalk and toasted oak on the nose. Palate is tight ripe berries, almost tart, indistinguishable fruits, dark cocoa powder, cashews (?), chalk. Medium plus tannins and acidity. Decanted four hours and hit its stride. Good for this price point, not great. Freemark makes some phenomenal wines, this is not one.

Splash decant. Deep dark magenta color. Boysenberry shortcake and pistachio come to mind. Smooth, dry, plush palate. Soft, lingering acidity. Firm tannins on the longish finish. This was surprisingly good. Had at a Manhattan bistro with some good friends. It feels like I haven’t had one of these in a while. Great QPR.

Absolutely too young to drink at this point, tannic and tight..still good..but All the key elements are in play for this to become a cellar gem. Disappointing especially at this price point. Opened ok with bold notes and deep color on the nose. As it progressed over the hour it became very tannic and acidic, and nothing like its previous vintages. I almost wondered if it was stored improperly but I was told no by our host.
