Drank tonight with friends over dinner. Surprisingly ready to drink after an hour decant, expected it to have a “younger touch” still. Would keep for 2-3 years longer.

Classic Medoc, concentrated blackberry fruit base, herb, bramble and pencil components, tannins and wood not yet integrated, despite all the right elements, each tastes exaggerated giving a disjointed impression right now. Decanter and other pros awarded 90 points a couple of years ago.

Very dark, full fruit good acidty and really very good. I always feel you need a top vintage when buying second wines and this was very impressive and even after 25 years only middle aged.

A bit light on its feet initially, it opens up to reveal some lovely crunchy black fruit, smoke and liquorice, reminiscent of the big brother. Just about earns its keep - this is fairly priced at £17

This is my 4th or 5th bottle of this Second Vin of Lagune. Bought a few yrs ago from Tanyno Imp here in Brazil and so was able to follow the wine over yrs. And now this is clearly already on a decent só drink up. The fruit punch gave away to more terciary notes. Color evolved from dark ruby to slight brick edges. Very pleasant second wine but even in a medium vintage like 2015, this should be drunk …

Ivy bottle shop tasting (Ivy Bottle Shop, Sydney) : Slightly jammy plums over brambles, a little blackcurrant and cedar, touch of forest floor/undergrowth. Juicy tends to medium plus intensity acidity, savoury tending to bitter fruits area a little baked. Tannins are woody and drying, alcohol warmth intrudes a little on the finish with a touch of black liquorice. Not for me.

Excellent Bordeaux from a second domaine from Chateau Lagune, haut médoc. Served with steak à la plancha and sauce d’aubergines, menthes, fish sauce and Cambodian prahoc, fermented fish. Strong, robust nose and flavorful of red fruits.

Blackcurrant, wooden notes, a bit alcoholic. Somewhat harsh tannins. Needs more time.

Blackcurrant, brambles, sweet spice, cedar, a little plummy underpin. Medium plus intensity acidity, plenty of woody textured grip, fruit slightly muted here; black hued and more savoury though it does open with time, a little dilute, touch of mint on the finish. Okay.

Restaurant pnp, Grillade Gourmandise in Eperney. Soft dark fruit on the nose. Whike this seemed to be all fruit when opened, mature tannins begin to appear after 30 mins. 91 today and while i don't have experience w this property i have to imagine its time to drink up

En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Seven (Bordeaux) : Slightly baked plums, brambles, plenty of sweet spice, a little cream, polished oak. Medium plus intensity acidity, alcohol warmth, dark hued fruits, and slightly chalky tannins. Okay.

By the glass. Too much oak on the nose still and too soft in the mouth where balance is achieved with a weak acidity and a silky texture. Nothing extraordinary anyway, without any personality. Por copas. Todavía demasiado roble en nariz y demasiado suave en boca donde el equilibrio se consigue con una débil acidez y una textura sedosa. Nada extraordinario de todos modos, sin personalidad alguna.

Lovely young medoc. Musty red currant and blueberry. On the palate: fantastic acidity, cedar, mulberry, good density and a touch of heat on the tangy finush, which shows chalky but soft tannin.

black fruits, cigar, blue flowers, pencil shavings and dark chocolate, easy-going and supple, open-knit and totally ready to go, speaks so clearly of Medoc, this is very nice

- Ruby color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry and tobacco. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry and tobacco with a medium/full body. Fleshy texture with a medium finish - Decanted for many hours, surprising structure, blackberry and leather scents and flavor, tannins still present, even better next day. Bought for a bargain, wish vendor had more, clearly people consumed this too soon. It has not that much acidity to go, so if one still has bottles, …

We found this bottle at a little grocery market in Thonon France where we were attending a wedding over Christmas. We left most of our bottles of good left & right bank wine in Croatia with friends while we traveled to Bosnia. Opened this on a snowy and cold night in Otzak, Bosnia. It was very clear mid ruby in color with a strong nose of dark cherries and black currant. It was medium bodied and the front palate was …

Bought 9 bottles of this 10 years ago. It's been a real pleasure watching this mature. It's in a great place right now and I'm so bummed that I don't have any more. Wonderful earthy characteristics, great structure, easy to drink.

Nice earthy nose, taste follows the nose, but falls a bit short and lacks structure. All-in-all a decent red Bordeaux, but should have been drunken earlier as lacks fruitiness.

I recently had the 2001 vintage, which was good but a bit imprecise and soft. By contrast, this was equally fruity but noticeably more focused. More, the fruit was darker, more intense (as you'd expect from 2000, I suppose) and overall it was better balanced. Excellent.

Beautifull nose of aged bordeaux, especially after an hour or two in a glass. Smoke, earth, tobacco, cedar but after ~2 hours some cab-franc and cassis notes show up. Little later adds some sweet dark fruits. On the palate this is medium body, earth, tobacco, cedar with very good acidity and midl tannins on the finish. Very pleasant but I would like longer finish. The nose it definitely better than the palate. Vacu-vined but it lost some of the complexity …

Deliciously sweet tannins with medium structure make this a wonderful wine. Good on its own and better with a gamey meat like lamb chops. Right now, ideally open the bottle 2 hours prior to drinking. I'd say it 's starting to enter its drinking window and should peak 2012. Drink 2009-2015.

Corked although not completely shot. With some time a little more fruit came out. Nice and smooth, full and fresh on the palate. Graphite and oak on the finish. I think this would've been quite good.

Deep dark ruby red, purplish rim and modest legs. Ripe blackcurrant and pencil shavings on the nose. Medium weight, quite acidic, but big tannins and ripe fruit structure. Long and slightly astringent finish. A well built wine to keep for another 5 years or so. 15.5/20
