Did some rearranging in the cellar and stumbled upon this bottle that I forgot I had and did not input on CT so it fell through the cracks. Like the notes before mine I agree that this wine is shot. Offering lots of heat and a weird funk, perhpas it was the cork but I dont think so. Tried to like it but decided that life is too short to drink a wine you are not enjoying.........glug......glug.........glug...................down the drain. Typically …

Whoa, this was foul tonight. Maybe there was bad fake cork and maybe this was so overripe that it collapsed in upon itself in the bottle. Either way, it was undrinkable.

At times I didn't enjoy this hot, forward nose but it has been pretty fun on the palate. Gobs of chocolate, mocha, wood and black fruits with a nice grip and plenty of accessibility. Not decanted. Allowed to sit for 45 mins prior to initial taste. Early on had a vinegar odor, though this did not harm the flavor, and this disappeared entirely after 15-20mins. More watery and less concentrated than the typical B&H style, smooth red fruits lay beneath a bed of cola. Tannins are very soft. This has a short life and I'm not sure that this will improve much. Certainly drink by 2007
