Gusbourne Late Disgorged Blanc de Blancs

Wonderfully full and rich, but still fresh. Tasted at The Nest alongside the 2015 Late Disgorged Brut Reserve which was a nuttier style. You can tell both of them had 78 months on the lees!

Opened up a late disgorged 2013 Blanc de Blancs from Gusbourne in honour of English Wine Week and this is a stellar example of some of the great winemaking going on in Southern England right now. The nose boats a great nutty aroma in the forefront with hazelnut and almond working in tandem before secondary characteristics of biscuit, lemon curd and a light creaminess come across.
