Domaine Armand Naulot Corton

Smells of smoke, leather and soy. It is sweet and vinous in the mouth, with layers of flavour. It has a cool, stony feel and still a gentle flex of muscle to the tail. Got better and better in the glass.

A whiff of strawberry patch greets the nose. After the red fruits and black earth, there's a sweet nuttiness, some leather. sandalwood spice, forest floor and pine needle sap. It is rich and voluminous in the mouth, with excellent depth and so much savoury nuance. It has a velvety feel against the gums, builds through the palate and really fans out on the long finish leaving a salty soy taste once swallowed.

Starts off quite nutty and throws off the pleasant scent of ripe strawberries. It deepens in the glass and becomes quite meaty. There are beef stock and soy notes and it has great texture and depth. There's plenty of mineral and length is imposing. A treat to drink.
