I think I have stored this wine too long. probably would have been even better one or two years prior.

Decent, yet could be more balanced

Juicy dark fruit and lively cherries embedded in light tannins. Good finish. Very enjoyable..

Fantastic! I would like another bottle since I drank this one without knowing it was in our cellar, or the cost. Random thursday pasta meal, and this bottle made it extraordinary. Smooth, and beautiful. Lots of fruit, but not too much of an alcohol finish.

The wine definitely improves as it sits in the glass. Nice dark red color. The nose is has hints of cherries. The high acidity is readily apparent as the wine crosses the tongue--where the leather, and oak, and cherries continue to build in the mouth. The finish is a bit weak though.

Dark red, opaque, with a hint of a purple rim. The nose shows cherries and oak/leather notes. In the mouth, cherries and blueberries are the dominant fruit notes, with significant oak influence -- oak, cedar, and leather. Velvety tannins. Well-balanced with fairly high acidity and a full body. Long finish.

Very good barbera with excellent fruit and acidity balanced by the wood tannins; needs a good 20-30 minutes in the decanter prior to drinking. Have tasted next to Giacomo Bologno products....this wins hands down.

Classical Europe : Cherries, leather, good bitterness. Full bodied wine. Not so very complex.
